(WXYZ) — In tonight's 7 UpFront we're examining the success of soccer in the Motor City.
Detroit City FC is Detroit's first professional soccer team, which is seeing great success in the National Premier Soccer League. Next year they'll join the USL Championship.
We're discussing it all with team co-owner Sean Mann.

"It's a pretty miraculous story in American sports, I would say," Mann says. "As a group of buddies 10 years ago we started an amateur team at Cass Tech and, over time, we've just been growing it year over year to the point now that just last week we announced we'd be joining the USL Championship next year, which is the professional level just below Major League Soccer in the United States. So, it's been an amazing story for the last decade and we're excited for this next chapter."
