Joining us to talk about her story is US Attorney for the Eastern Michigan Dawn Ison. She's the first Black woman to serve as a US Attorney for Michigan.

"I'm humbled by that, quite frankly, because I know there are so many other qualified Black women that created a path for me," Ison says. "So, I'm humbled and honored by the opportunity and for all the fortitude and courage and qualities that were presented in so many Black women that came before me."
