America's top doctor was in Flint tonight, discussing the water crisis.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy came on a mission to connect with the people of Flint.

Murthy met with citizens at Mount Carmel Baptist Church for several hours this evening.

He focused on the need for physicians to act on behalf of citizens, just as Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha did in alerting all of us to the elevated lead levels in children's blood.

Doctor Murthy says all cities need to learn from the mistakes made here in Flint. He also listened to stories of families who are living this crisis everyday.
