Four injured when semi crashes into liquor store

Four people are in the hospital after a serious crash involving a semi on Monday afternoon. Sterling Heights EMS and Warren Police are on the scene at 14 Mile Rd. and Mound where a semi truck slammed into a liquor store just after 1 p.m.

The Sterling Heights Fire Chief says a driver of the semi truck lost control after being involved in an accident with at least one other driver. That semi driver and three others from inside Frank's Deli and Liquor were rushed to the hospital.

No one has been ticketed or arrested at this time. The semi driver was pinned in the truck and had to be rescued by EMS. One customer and two workers inside the store were injured. No other details on their injuries are available at this time.
