DETROIT (WXYZ) — Winter is here and though some like to bundle up indoors, one local park wants to be Metro Detroit's go-to destination for all outdoor winter fun family celebrations.
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy is helping visitors embrace winter by extending their riverfront programming year-round.
Every weekend, Robert C. Valade Park on Detroit's East Side will feature over-sized outdoor fire chimneys, warm winter drinks, marshmallow roasters, winter games, free weekly activities, a sledding hill and more.
Hours are Friday 5-9PM, Saturday 12-9PM, and Sunday 12-7PM through February 28, 2021.
Visit Winter at Valade for more information on special dates and activities.
