DETROIT (WXYZ) — A 47-year-old woman is dead after police say she attempted to run over another woman with her vehicle Monday evening.
The shooting happened on Fordham and Hayes streets on Detroit's east side.
Police say a 37-year-old woman fatally shot the 47-year-old, who was allegedly trying to run her over.
Police are still investigating what led to the escalation of events, but say that the shooter is a CPL holder and is now being detained and is cooperating with investigators.
Editor's note: An earlier version of this story stated that the 47-year-old was the shooter. Detroit police provided an update stating that the 37-year-old was the shooter who killed a 47-year-old.
