DETROIT (WXYZ) — Halloween is right around the corner. And while trick-or treating may be the marquee event on Halloween, there are so many ways to enjoy the season: hay rides, pumpkin carving and of course, a little bit of a fright!

From tikes to teens to grown-ups to ghouls, everyone is looking for the best way to celebrate Halloween.

We asked our 7 Action News viewers for the best Halloween season events in metro Detroit in our Thursday's Top 7.

#7) STONEWALL PUMPKIN FEST AT THE ROCHESTER HILLS MUSEUM

We're kicking off of top 7 at the Stonewall Pumpkin Fest here at the Rochester Hills Museum.

Look for a day of scarecrows, music fun and food. Guests also carve pumpkins to sit on the namesake stone wall. Those jack-o'-lanterns will light up the night on October 12th!

#6) FUNTOBER AT HESS HATHAWAY PARK (WATERFORD)

Sixth is Funtober at Hess Hathaway Park in Waterford. Here the highlights are hayrides, campfires and animal tours. It's Saturday, October 19 from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $7 per person.

#5) BOO BASH ADDISON OAKS PARK (LEONARD)

Boo Bash at Addison Oaks County Park in Oakland County is 5th on our list. There is dodgeball, costume contests, arts and crafts, even a haunted house. Boo Boo Bash is scaring up fun October 11th & 12th and 18th & 19th.

#4) ZOO BOO AT THE DETROIT ZOO (ROYAL OAK)

Look for a merry, not scary Halloween celebration at Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo each weekend for the rest of October. There are treats, superheros, stilt-walkers and all the animals. New this year, the whole zoo is open until dark, offering a new way for kids to see their favorite animal.

#3) EREBUS HAUNTED ATTRACTION (PONTIAC)

Erebus is third on our list, so clearly we're ramping up the fear factor big time in downtown Pontiac.

There are four floors of chills, screams and terror. It is not for the faint of heart. Erebus was just named the best haunted attraction in America by USA Today's Readers' Choice!

#2) HALLOWE'EN IN GREENFIELD VILLAGE (DEARBORN)

Our runner up is Hallowe'en in Greenfield Village. Check out the more than 50 costumed characters, live music, hot drinks and more than 1,000 hand-carved jack-o'-lanterns.

#1) TERROR ON TILSON STREET (ROMEO)

The top spot is Terror on Tilson in Romeo. Neighbors come together every year to put on this over-the-top spectacle of haunted halloween decorations. And yes, there is trick-or-treating on Halloween from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. every year.
