Spotlight on the News: 1967 Detroit riot/rebellion; Looking back to look forward!

WXYZ Detroit - On Sunday, July 23, Spotlight on the News will devote its entire show to the 50th anniversary of Detroit’s 1967 riot/rebellion.   Guests will include:

Professor & Author Herb Boyd, Author & former Detroit Police Commissioner aide Hubert Locke, Detroit Historical Society Executive Director  & CEO Bob Bury, Detroit ’67 Project Director Marlowe Stoudamire, WXYZ-TV Action News Anchor Carolyn Clifford and WXYZ-TV Action News Reporter Dave LewAllen.

Spotlight on the News, now in its 52th season, is Michigan's longest-running weekly news and public affairs television program. It airs every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 in Detroit and 2:30 p.m. on 23.1 WKAR-HD in East Lansing and 6 p.m. on 23.2 WKAR World.
