(WXYZ) — Michigan continues to play a big role in the race for the White House.

President Trump is holding a campaign rally in Lansing Tuesday just one week ahead of Election Day.

He's scheduled to speak at a 2 p.m. "Make America Great Again Victory Rally" at Capital Region International Airport on 3121 W. Circle Drive.

According to Trump's campaign, the president will be joined by Republican candidates.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer says that could spell disaster with the threat of COVID-19 spreading in the state. 7 Action News has also learned the president may stop in Oakland County within the next week.

His opponent, democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, will be in Michigan on Saturday. A location for Biden's campaign stop has not yet been released.

According to the Trump campaign, all attendees at Tuesday's rally will be given a temperature check, masks which they are instructed to wear and access to hand sanitizer.
