(WXYZ) — US Representative Brenda Lawrence has won the nomination for another term in Congress.
The Associated Press called the race for Lawrence with 14% of the vote counted. She was leading challenger Terrance Morrison 93% to 7%.
The former Mayor of Southfield, Lawrence was first elected to Congress in 2014.
Morrison faced Lawrence in a primary in 2016 and lost in that race as well.
