WXYZ DETROIT — On Sunday, January 17, Spotlight on the News will broadcast its annual Channel 7 Newsmaker of the Year Special honoring frontline workers who faced the COVID-19 pandemic with courage and dedication to their essential jobs. Join us as we talk to a representative group of Michigan heroes who have worked tirelessly to keep our communities strong and as safe as possible. Our panel of guests will include:

Spotlight on the News, now in its 55th season, is Michigan's longest-running weekly news and public affairs television program. It airs every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 in Detroit, is streamed live on and broadcast at 11:30 a.m. on 23.1 WKAR-HD in East Lansing.
