A concerned mother reported to deputies on Dec. 1 that she believed a 30-year-old man had contacted her 15-year-old daughter via social media and was attempting to have a sexual encounter with her.

On Dec. 6, a meet was arranged between the man, identified as Nichiolas Aubert, and her daughter.

Aubert believed he was meeting with the 15-year-old girl to have sexual relations with her, which he requested multiple times over the course of several days, police said.

Police say Aubert was aware that the girl was only 15 years old.

Aubert arrived at the scheduled meet where undercover detectives were waiting and was taken into custody without incident.

He reportedly arrived alone in a red Toyota Camry and was in possession of a box of condoms.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham reminds parents to stay vigilant when it comes to social media when it comes to social media and who their children associate with.

"Talk with your children about the dangers of the internet and risks of putting personal information onto the World Wide Web," he said. "Make them aware that strangers do not always have good intentions and that profiles are not always honest."

Aubert is charged with one count of Children - Accosting for Immoral Purposes and one count of Computers - Internet - Communicating with Another to Commit Crime.

His bond is set at $10,000.
