STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Sterling Heights police are on the scene of what is being called a "call of disturbance" at a strip mall on Mound Road.

Police say a man walked into Elwood staffing and alarmed employees by acting strangely. They called police, who evacuated the building.

The situation began about 11:30 a.m.

The man is still inside the building. It is not known if he is armed.

No one has been injured.

It's happening in the area of 16 1/2 Mile Road. Southbound Mound is closed from 17 Mile to 16 Mile for the incident. Northbound Mound is open.

Mound Road is blocked off in the area and a tactical unit has been brought into the area.

There is a heavy police presence in the area.
