PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Dash camera video shows a speeding driver who tried to out run the law, colliding with another vehicle and then striking the SUV of an off-duty fire chief stopped at an intersection.
It happened at Carpenter & Bemis in Pittsfield Township.
The driver of the stolen Jeep racing away from deputies, also struck another vehicle before hitting the vehicle of Chief Sean Gleason.
One witness tells us, “I was worried about someone getting hurt after what I saw.”
It all took place on March 4th, and the driver has been identified as 25-year-old Dillon Mayse of Milan. He’s already pled guilty and been convicted of 3 felonies and will be sentenced on July 9th. As a habitual offender, he could face life in prison.
