(WXYZ) — With President Trump visiting Michigan just one day after Democratic Nominee Joe Biden made a swing through our station, Michigan is turning into one of the battlegrounds during the 2020 election.

Both campaigns also have additional trips scheduled for Michigan, with both Jill Biden and Donald Trump Jr. already having events scheduled.

State: More than 2.1 million absentee ballots requested so far for November election

Michigan is also in the spotlight for control of the US Senate, with Senator Gary Peters facing off with businessman John James in that race.
