Here's what organizers say about the event:

"During Charity Week, the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes compete to raise the most funds for a specific charity. This year, all funds raised will benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan. Cousino's goal is $7,000.

Several activities such as Penny Wars, Dodge Ball, crazy hair day, plus much more are planned for the week of giving.

The class that raises the most funds will receive a ticket and transportation to watch the Detroit Pistons take on the Philadelphia 76ers. Thanks to the generosity of the Detroit Pistons organization more than 400 tickets will be donated to Cousino High School to help make the event a success.

'The students and staff throughout Warren Consolidated Schools are always very generous when it comes to giving back to the community,' Superintendent of Schools Robert D. Livernois, Ph.D. said. 'I am extremely proud of our Leadership students at Cousino High School for organizing and executing this event.'
