Meijer is recalling two types of store-brand deli cheese due to a possible Listeria contamination, according to the FDA.

The Meijer brand Colby Cheese and Colby Jack Cheese was sold in stores from Nov. 10, 2016 until Feb. 9, 2017 over the deli counter.

The notice of contamination came from MDS foods, a supplier that sources Meijer-brand cheese from Deutsch Kase Haus, which is based in Middlebury, Indiana.

The recalled product will be in plastic deli packaging with printed labels that  have UPCs 215927xxxxxx or 215938xxxxxx – the last 6 digits will vary, and are determined by weight since the product was purchased at the deli counter.

So far, there have been no known illnesses.

Anyone who has questions can call Meijer at 800-543-3704. You can returned the affected product to any store.
