A Detroit firefighter was injured overnight while helping to fight house fires on the city's west side.
The incident happened at a house fire on Blaine Street near Dexter Avenue.
We are told the firefighter cut his cheek and is expected to recover.
Several other fires were reported in that area overnight involving two houses and a vehicle.
The fires are being considered suspicious. Arson investigators have been notified.
