Police are investigating an accident that involved a Madison Heights police officer this morning.
A police vehicle and a Metro Car were involved in a crash near Barrington and University. Police are reviewing video to determine exactly what led up to the accident.
The officer was transported to the hospital, treated and released.
The Metro Car driver was uninjured in the crash.
