Playboy magazine has released its 2015 Top Party Schools list, and the University of Michigan came in at number 10.
Taking top "honors" is Ohio University.
The list is configured by the magazine's editors who assess a variety of factors, including nightlife, social gatherings and musical events.
Feedback from Playboy's social media fans was also considered.
The magazine's article states:
10. UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Oh, “the Michigan difference.” The haughty catchphrase works because it’s true: Wolverines study hard and party harder. At “the Pit,” a shared backyard between frat houses and an epicenter for Saturday-morning tailgating, students get advanced degrees in Wolverine superiority, still going strong almost 20 years after its last football championship. House parties abound in Ann Arbor; if one gets shut down, students roll the kegs to the party down the street. Win or lose, Michiganders still booze.
According to the Michigan Daily, just last week the university required all fraternities and sororities to attend a meeting about toning down party culture.
