Investigators are hoping the public can help identify a man caught on surveillance video robbing a Livonia gas station Monday at gunpoint.
It happened at about 8:40 p.m. Sept. 25 at a Sunoco Gas Station on the 29800 block of 8 Mile Road.
Police said the man purchased gasoline, left and returned with a semi automatic handgun. He demanded cash from the clerk and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 25 years of age, wearing a white T-shirt, khaki pants, black or brown shoes and a baseball hat with the Red Wings logo.
Police believe he fled eastbound on 8 Mile Road in a dark colored vehicle, possibly a Cadillac.
