Detroit PAL School Soccer Jamboree to take oplace June 10 at Historic Fort Wayne

The Detroit PAL School Soccer Jamboree will take place on Sunday, June 4 from 10am - 7pm at Historic Fort Wayne. The park is located at 6325 W Jefferson Ave, in Detroit.

Approximately 1,200 youth players will be participating throughout the day. The School Soccer program is a merged program including the U.S. Soccer Foundation's Soccer for Success program and Mayor Duggan's GOAL Detroit Soccer League. In addition to numerous soccer games, the day will also include food distribution from Gleaners Community Food Bank, free eye exams from Vision to Learn and participation from the Pontiac Police Athletic League.

The School Soccer season will officially come to an end on Saturday, June 10. Championship games will take place at Patton Park, Farwell, and O'Hair.

Detroit PAL's Diamond Sports Opening Day will take place on Saturday, June 10 at 10am at Maheras-Gentry Park in Detroit. Paws, the Detroit Tigers' mascot, will be on-site to interact with the kids as they start their summer season. The Detroit Tigers sponsor the Tiny Tigers program, which consists of over 500 kids, ages 4-8, playing T-Ball and Coach Pitch. PAL's baseball and softball programs are available for youth up to age 19.

Detroit PAL's Recreational Soccer League will be coming to an end on Saturday, June 17, starting at 10am at Historic Fort Wayne. The recreational soccer program is one of PAL's most popular programs and hundreds of kids are expected to be finishing their seasons up on June 17.
