Detroit resident Erica Coney tells 7 Action News that she first posted a disturbing photo to Facebook to raise awareness about drug overdoses in her neighborhood.

She lives on Sanilac Street, where we first reported on the troubling trend.

Since our original story aired several days ago, Erica says the problems have continued despite police promising to step up patrols.

Captain Rodney Jackson say there have been more patrols, but still no one has been arrested.

Detroit Police say more people must be willing to come forward with information in order to help make the streets safer for everyone, including kids. He says people can make anonymous tips by calling (313) 224-DOPE.
