When security guards working at the shuttered Packard Plant in Detroit caught one young man dumping trash, they started getting video with their cell phone.

“He didn’t give a damn,” said Security Supervisor Rob Robinson.

In the video, the man can be heard proudly stating he is from Dearborn, balking at the idea of police coming after him, and reading off his license plate number.

Robinson turned the video over to police and the media.

Now it has cost the dumper big time.

7 Action News ran his license plate number. We found the car belonged to the Millennium Health Mart in Inkster.  We went there. A worker there told us they knew about the video and because of things like that the dumper no longer worked there.

They didn’t share his full name.

In the meantime, police tell 7 Action News they tracked him down. He was cited for dumping.

Robinson says what happened to this dumper should serve as a warning to others.

“Don’t dump in Detroit. We should be building the city up, not keeping it down,” said Robinson.

One company from Dearborn responded to his act by volunteering to clean up his mess.

TheJunkMarshal.com told security at the Packard Plant as a company from Dearborn it wanted to prove its city should not be associated with such apathetic and criminal behavior.
