People who live on Lakepointe Street in Grosse Pointe Park are concerned after an assault over the weekend.

One resident says police were searching up and down the street into the night looking for "gloves and scarves" that could be connected to the case.

Residents also have heard stories that this case is much larger than their own street.

Police Chief Stephen Poloni with neither confirm not those stories. He will only say they are working with Michigan State Police and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
