Entrepreneurs interested in taking their startups to the next level might have some luck at an upcoming event in Detroit.

The annual Detroit Google Demo Day is just around the corner and Grand Circus, a tech incubator, is putting out the call for those looking to get more exposure for their businesses.

For startups, this is a shot at getting the investment of a lifetime. Organizations in Canada, Mexico or the United States can enter to compete.

At Demo Day, entrepreneurs will pitch their startups in front of a panel of judges. Three finalists will be chosen — and their information will be sent to Google for final judging.

The winner will then get to to travel to the Googolplex in California to meet directly with investors and mentors.

Startups can enter through March 20 and eight will be selected to compete. Grand Circus officials say applicants should be raising between $1 million and $5 million.

The Demo Day event is scheduled for Thursday, March 30 at Grand Circus in Detroit. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
