The community is invited to attend a benefit that will support 15-year-old Hiatham -- a teenager from Ann Arbor who is fighting a terminal epileptic disorder.

The event is called "Heroes for Hiatham".  Those who plan on coming out are encouraged to wear capes.  It's all in an effort to break the world record for most people wearing a cape in one place. 2,500 participants are needed.

The event will take place at 242 Community Church on Wagner Rd. in Ann Arbor on Friday, April 13 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Guests will be able to meet super heroes, take part in raffles and listen to music at the event.

There is a $10 charge to attend, with 100% of proceeds to support Hiatham's medical bills.

For those who cannot attend the event, but still want to help are able to submit donations on Hiatham's GoFundMe page.
