Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand has loose lips that have gotten him into trouble about women. In one recording:
I'd definitely (BLEEP) on that. That's so f----- hot... I wouldn't want to get a picture of my d--- and you know, send it to the wife. Can you blame me?"
In another secret recording, he jokes about having sex with a former female commander:
About 15 years ago I would have. Although I always joked with (BLEEP)... I wanted to make a snuff film with her. She is gonna be the star. Shoot her right in the back of the head when I (BLEEP) my l---."
How do we know that is Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand?

The sheriff is accused in a federal lawsuit of being multifaceted bigot with numerous slurs about:
- BLACKS
- GAYS
- WOMEN
- HISPANICS
- OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE
- DISABLED PEOPLE
The suit was brought by a male Lieutenant claiming a hostile work environment because he says he was teased for being hearing impaired.
His attorney is Jim Fett who says, “It doesn’t get better than the defendant’s own mouth.”
The sheriff says he is working to regain the public trust and will not resign.
“It’s going to take some time, but I am confident I will be able to do that,” he says.
The sheriff told 7 Investigator Jim Kiertzner on the phone he’s not going to comment on the recordings point by point. He’s looking forward to his day in court.
The Governor has been asked to remove the Sheriff from office. Sheriff Rand says he has responded to the request for information.
No further action has been taken.
