The victim did not have any money. Police say the suspect then assaulted him and took his car, a 2003 silver four-door Ford Taurus, fleeing in an unknown direction.
Police are looking for three men involved in the incident.
The man accused of stealing the car is described as a black man with a beard, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, wearing a blue polo shirt and armed with a silver handgun.
Police describe the other two men involved as a heavyset black man wearing a red shirt, and a black man who is bald and stands at 5 feet 9 inches.
