The makeover of Detroit's Pingree Park continues this weekend.
City of Detroit officials, local businesses, residents and Project Evergreen will gather on Detroit's east side to breath new life into the 18-acre park.
Where Phase I of the project focused on landscaping, Phase II will add in new walkways and a natural landscape amphitheater.
Organizers say park renovations will increase the well-being of neighbors, "as well as raise home values and serve as a spark for nearby community development."
Phase II renovation will take place on Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9.
Phase I began last November.
