Fraser police say a man climbed into two cars at a gas station while the owners were paying for gas and stole a purse.
A woman was pumping gas at Speedway at 14 Mile and Utica Road in Fraser on Thursday. While paying for gas, a man had entered her vehicle and removed her purse.
Based on surveillance video, police say officers were able to identify the make and model of the suspect vehicle, which was later found parked at a Meijer, occupied by a woman.
After finding the car, police say a sergeant confronted the man in the store, where he was reportedly attempting to cash the victim's payroll check and use her credit cards.
The suspects were arrested and will be arraigned Friday on several felony charges.
When their vehicle was impounded, police found other stolen property from an unrelated larceny.
Police remind people to take their purses or wallets with them while paying for gas, or to lock their vehicles.
