BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — A man stole maple syrup with the intention of returning them for a refund, Bloomfield Township police said.
Officers were dispatched to Trader Joe's on Telegraph Road on a retail fraud complaint.
A man approximately 35 years old reportedly exited the store with two bottles of maple syrup concealed in his pants.
Officers located the suspect and recovered two bottles of maple syrup. He reportedly admitted that he stole them with the intentions of returning them to the store to get a cash refund.
The suspect was arrested and received a citation for Misdemeanor Retail Fraud.
