A metro Detroit man is on a mission. He’s on a journey to clear his name, to restore his reputation and reclaim the life he says he lost when he lost his freedom.

Twenty-seven-year-old Marcey Dewberry was accused of embezzlement.

Dewberry was a messenger for Total Armored, which means he received, he carried and secured currency for companies in Ann Arbor.

It was along a route on West Stadium Boulevard one day in 2016 when things took a turn and turned his world upside down.

Dewberry will never forget the day he lost his freedom for a crime the court now says he did not commit.

“Through this whole ordeal, I've always stated that I was innocent. Actually my innocence, proven now, it's a good weight lifted off my shoulders, but it's still, it's not enough. Just like the justice that was just given to me in the courts, I think something should be done for the time that I lost," says Dewberry.

He is now praying that someone out there will help him rebuild the life he once had.

Dewberry is determined to move forward from all this, being the very best man he possibly can.
