The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office dive team is searching a pond in Ann Arbor for a swimmer who went missing on Wednesday morning.
According to Derrick Jackson, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office, they are searching the Argo Pond area of the Huron River.
Deputies were called to Argo Park around 6:20 a.m. on a report of a 35-year-old man who jumped from the railroad bridge into the river, resurfaced and then went under again, not resurfacing.
The man's friend reported the incident. He said he lost track of his friend after he did not resurface.
According to the website Voyage Nation, the particular area where the jump took place is at the Huron River Train Bridge. It's known as a popular spot for adrenaline junkies.
On the website is a message that states: "If your (sic) an adrenaline junkie you'll love this. The train bridge is about 50-60 ft high."
The message goes on to read, "'X Jump Here' marks the spot to jump from. The free fall feeling is amazing!! Be careful"
Right now, deputies are continuing the search but have not located the man.
