Traverse City has been named the best lake beach town in America, according to a study by WalletHub.
In order to determine the rankings, WalletHub compared the cities across the country with six dimensions: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education & health and quality of life.
It was given the number one ranking due to a high amount of coffee shops, restaurants and nightlife establishments.
In addition to Traverse City, Holland and Alpena ranked as number 6 and number 7, respectively, while Port Huron ranked as number 37.
