The mother of a student at Warren Mott High School says a dispute during school hours later led to a vicious beating at a Target store at 12 Mile and Dequindre.
The attack allegedly happened on Friday, May 11, and the 17-year-old remains hospitalized at Detroit Children's Hospital following surgery.
Among his injuries, his mother says he has a concussion and broken eye socket. He was allegedly jumped at the store by two older men, after his mother says he had an argument with a female student at school.
The female, according to the mother, had two men assault her son.
Warren Police confirmed they are investigating, however, no arrests have been made so far. The student identified as James Brown Jr. suffers from learning challenges, and his mother says she wants justice to be served in the wake of his beating.
