A fed up neighbor wrote an anonymous letter to people in the community warning retaliation if fireworks are blasted off after 9 p.m. at any point during the Fourth of July holiday week.

The letter went viral, with members of the community contacting the police in an effort to expose the neighbor.

Chesterfield Township police posted a reminder of the city ordinance in regard to fireworks on their Twitter page. The ordinance states that fireworks can only be used the day before, during, and after the Fourth of July holiday, and that no fireworks are allowed between midnight and 8 a.m.

So tell us, does Michigan need to go back to stricter fireworks laws?
