The situation began when Michael Fulmer hit Gary Sanchez in the fifth inning.
An inning and a half later, Yankees pitcher Tommy Kahnle threw behind Miguel Cabrera. Kahnel was immediately ejected.
As new pitcher Aroldis Chapman entered the game, Cabrera began arguing with catcher Austin Romine, eventually shoving him. The two then traded punches as the benches cleared.
Several players, including Austin's brother and Cabrera's teammate Andrew Romine, tried to separate the two.
Cabrera and Austin Romine were both ejected, once things were brought under control.
Things stayed heated at Comerica afterwards though, as video caught a heated exchange between Justin Verlander and Victor Martinez.
