(WXYZ) — The Horizon League Board of Directors has decided to postpone fall competition for the fall season due to the pandemic.
The move impacts all Horizon League sports which include men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball, as well as men's and women's golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. This includes Oakland and Detroit Mercy fall sports.
The Board and Council will decide at a later date whether sports will continue in the spring.
Individual institutions will make decisions regarding training, practice and recruiting in accordance with NCAA regulations, state and institutional guidelines, a release states.
