ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) -- The Detroit Lions have signed safety Andrew Adams.

Adams signed a one-year contract, according to a report from beat writer Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Adams played 13 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018, registering 38 total tackles and four interceptions. Three of those interceptions came in a 24-17 Buccaneers win over the Carolina Panthers on December 2.

Adams spent the previous two seasons with the New York Giants.
