Detroit, MI. - What a pleasure it was filling in for journalistic colleague Rochelle Riley as MC of the Detroit Orientation Institute's 25th Anniversary Program at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. DOI has a stellar reputation for providing a broad and candid look at Detroit--our history, our institutions, our political landscape and our many rich cultures. The strolling dinner reception, live music and brief program helped to reconnect some 3,000 media, business and non-profit leaders. Congratulations to Ann Slawnik and Elaine Driker for reaching this milestone with DOI! Wayne State University President Dr. M. Roy Wilson brought greetings and a sense of history to the program.
