Severe weather could put a damper on a major concert event at Comerica Park Wednesday night.

Metallica is slated tonight at the uncovered stadium.

Chief Meteorologist Dave Rexroth says the biggest threats are heavy rain, lightning and strong winds. The possibility of a tornado also cannot be ruled out

Comerica Park released the following advisory:

Metallica’s “WorldWired 2017 North American Tour” at Comerica Park will take place rain or shine tomorrow, Wednesday, July 12 at 6 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, refunds or exchanges are not available. It is recommended to bring a rain coat or poncho, as the ballpark is not covered. Please note, umbrellas are not permitted.
