Get ready for a candid conversation about a wide range of issues facing the American electorate.  It will happen at 7 p.m. tonight in front of a live audience at the University of Detroit Mercy.

You can watch it below:

The discussion will be led by ABC News political analysts Matthew Dowd and LZ Granderson for their livestream series “Strait Talk with Matt & LZ.”

It’s a perfect setting for a town hall taking place just days before Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s first presidential debate and two months before registered voters select the next Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful nation in the world.  Matt & LZ are no strangers to Detroit and Midwest values.   Both were born here.  And they know that Southeast Michigan is reflective of America.  You name the issue, and we have faced it.  All roads run through the Motor City!

I, along with a big panel of knowledgeable Detroiters, will join Matt, LZ and ABC News.com Digital Host Amna Nawaz and ABC News Chief Political Correspondent Johnathan Karl to talk about the economy, race,  religion, immigration and law enforcement.  These are the hot issues that have resulted in last week’s WXYZ-TV 7/Detroit Free Press Poll showing the race for the White House is nearly a tossup!   Join us tonight!  #StraitTalk LIVE from #Detroit Mon, 9/19 at 7pm!  #Watch: abcnews.com/live
