A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of individuals responsible for a horrible arson incident at Kennedy High School in Taylor. We're told the announcement booth at the stadium was set on fire.
Investigators say the crime occurred early Monday morning, along with several other cases of arson in the city. It's unknown how much money it will take to repair the booth and electrical wiring that also operates the scoreboard.
The athletic director for the school tells us this jeopardizes their ability to play any home games this season, and instead the team will have to play at nearby Truman high school.
Also, this means the team will have to have homecoming festivities elsewhere. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Taylor Fire department.
