Representatives of DUO Restaurant and Lounge in Southfield stopped by Broadcast House this morning to share one of their popular recipes for ribs.
The secret is all in the sauce:
Grand Mariner Sauce
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup honey
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 tbsp Grand Marnier
1tsp sea salt
1 ground pepper
And 1 orange cut in slices allow all ingredients to simmer. Then base your ribs in the sauce. Garnish with orange slices.
Ribs
Mesquite wood chips for the smoker or grill
1 tsp Garlic powder
2 tsp Smokey seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp Apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
Mix all ingredients. Spray with non stick spray and cook (grill, oven, smoker)
