“Taking Action for Detroit” looks at people and organizations that are making a difference in Metro Detroit.
This edition includes a small barber shop in Ypsilanti with a unique cash for cuts program that is teaching young customers about reading and about life.
The show also features two programs in Southwest Detroit, one is preparing children for kindergarten, and the other is inspiring kids to “Beat the Streets” by teaching them about wrestling, academics and the discipline it takes to succeed at both.
