Thousands of people are celebrating Japanese pop culture in Downtown Detroit this weekend.
Youmacon 2016 kicked off Thursday at 8 p.m. at Cobo Center and The Renaissance Center.
The four day, round-the-clock celebration ends Sunday night.
Highlights of the event include Japanese anime, pop culture, video games, comics and art.
Tickets are $45 at the door on Saturday, and $25 at the door on Sunday, or $65 for a weekend pass.
