LifeSmartsis a program of the National Consumers League, and sponsored in Michigan by the Better Business Bureau. It's a quiz-like challenge for students in the 6th-12th grades, which prepares them to enter the real world as smart adult consumers.

The program focuses on five key topic areas: consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety, personal finance, and technology.

Last week Action News was at Oakland University for the state finals. The winning team from Cranbrook now goes on to the National competition in Denver next month.
