Detroit police are investigating after one person was killed and another was injured in an overnight shooting on the city's east side.
It happened at a home in the 18900 block of Albion, near 7 Mile and Hoover.
Police say they received a call around 2 a.m. from a neighbor who reported hearing gunshots and screams.
When officers arrived at the scene, they say they found one 30-year-old man dead inside the home and a car speeding away from the area. They say they followed the driver to the hospital and discovered he was dropping off a second shooting victim.
The 31-year-old victim at the hospital is listed in critical condition, according to police.
