SOUTHFIELD (WXYZ) — Southfield police are investigating after a 1-year-old girl fell from the eighth-floor window of an apartment building Saturday.
The fall happened at Regal Towers, 27500 Franklin Road. Investigators say it appeared to be an accident, and the girl is expected to make a full recovery from her injuries.
The child was playing and went through the window, according to a preliminary investigation. The girl's parents were home at the time of the incident.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the situation.
